Job summary

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred in Grays, England, seeks a part-time (0.2 FTE) German teacher to cover maternity leave from 02/11/2026 to 31/10/2027. You will join a dedicated team delivering a broad KS3/KS4 curriculum and supporting student progress.

Qualifications

Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
Successful teaching experience at secondary level
Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4
Ability to work as part of a team and develop positive relationships
Good ICT skills and ability to use interactive whiteboards

Responsibilities

Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students
Monitor and support the progress and development of students as teacher/form tutor
Contribute to raising standards of student attainment
Support the academy's responsibility to provide opportunities for growth
Share responsibility for ensuring high quality teaching and learning
