Job summary

The Supply Register, on behalf of Wolverhampton College, is seeking a dedicated Music Lecturer to inspire learners through engaging lessons and industry-informed teaching.

Deliver across Music programmes, plan learning activities, support performance, composition and music technology, assess progress, and foster an inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience within the music industry, music education, or a related creative sector.
• Knowledge of performance, composition, music technology, and contemporary music practices.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for supporting and developing learners.
• A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
• A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Music programmes.
• Plan and prepare learning activities that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements.
• Support learners in developing performance, composition, production, and music industry knowledge.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learner experience and curriculum delivery.
