Job summary

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a qualified Music teacher to deliver Level 2 and 3 FE programmes on a full‑time basis. You will design engaging lessons, assess progress, and support students to achieve high outcomes and progression to further study or careers.

You will develop schemes of work, maintain assessment plans, and build partnerships with industry to keep content current and relevant. The role emphasizes quality improvement and student-centred learning.

Qualifications

• Relevant subject qualification at or above the level taught.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS) or commitment to achieving one.
• GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or commitment to Level 2 Functional Skills.
• Any additional specialist qualifications where appropriate (e.g., Masters, technical certificates).

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistently high‑quality, engaging teaching that inspires students to achieve their potential.
• Teach complex concepts using varied methods to link new and prior knowledge.
• Take ownership of delivering outcomes including attendance, achievement and progression.
• Build industry links to enhance learning and inform curriculum updates.
• Contribute to course, departmental and faculty priorities with a culture of quality improvement.
• Engage in professional development to stay at the forefront of subject pedagogy.
