Our client, a Watford-based secondary school, is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to deliver well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, building students' confidence and problem-solving skills.

The successful applicant will plan, assess and adapt teaching to raise attainment, collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department, and support students toward GCSE Mathematics. The role offers a supportive environment with safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach Mathematics at KS3 and KS4.
• QTS or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong mathematical subject knowledge.
• Effective communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
• The legal right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach topics including number, algebra, ratio, proportion, geometry, statistics and probability.
• Develop students' confidence in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.
• Use questioning and assessment to identify misconceptions and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations through targeted practice and revision.
• Provide clear feedback that helps students understand how to improve.
• Differentiate activities to support learners with additional needs while challenging higher-attaining students.
• Maintain a well-managed classroom that encourages participation, resilience and independent thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and improve student outcomes.
