Job summary
The Sky Academy in Taunton seeks a passionate Lower School Class Teacher to join our warm, inclusive and ambitious community.
You will deliver high quality lessons across key stages, support pupils with SEMH and SEND, and work within a dedicated team guided by our values of Resilience, Respect, Ambition and Belonging.
The role offers permanent, full-time hours (32.5 per week) with progression through the M1 to UPS3 scale and SEN allowances, plus excellent benefits.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Deliver the curriculum across relevant key stages.
- Meet the needs of learners including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and high attaining students.
- Strong communicator with ability to embrace change and build relationships.
- Recognise and support opportunities beyond classroom delivery and enrich learning.
- Develop your own expert practice and support others.
- Aim to meet Teachers’ Standards at Upper Pay Scale level.

- Help students build confidence and independence for college, work and adulthood.
