Job summary

The Sky Academy in Taunton is seeking a Lower School Class Teacher to deliver a targeted core curriculum for students in years 5-11 with SEMH/SCL needs and EHCPs. You will help pupils build confidence, independence and prepare for adulthood, within a warm, inclusive community.

The role is full-time (32.5 hours per week) with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, PSHCE and PE, plus a wider curriculum, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Able to deliver the curriculum across relevant key stages.
• Able to meet the needs of learners including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and high attaining students.
• Strong communicator and collaborative.
