Job summary

Rook's Nest Academy in Wakefield is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant who is caring, enthusiastic and committed to giving children the best possible start to their education.

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider early years team to support children's learning, development, wellbeing and independence through purposeful play, planned activities and positive interactions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
• Understand the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Be able to support children's communication, language, physical, personal, social and emotional development.
• Promote safeguarding and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through intentional play and planned activities.
• Observe, assess and record children's development.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and structured activities.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider early years team; communicate with parents and carers.
