Job summary

Priory School in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support children with complex moderate learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders. You will work with teachers to deliver differentiated activities, lead small group and one-to-one interventions, and help establish calm, structured routines to aid both learning and personal growth.

The role requires patience, reflective practice and a passion for inclusive education, with desirable experience

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs.
• Understanding of autism and sensory processing differences.
• Experience or training in Trauma-Informed Practice (TIS) would be advantageous.

• Support children and young people with complex learning difficulties.
