Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join a Brighton school on a full-time, long-term basis with an ASAP start. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, focusing on food preparation, nutrition and practical cooking.

The role offers a supportive environment, weekly pay and ongoing CPD opportunities. A strong classroom presence and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) are required, with a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach food preparation, cooking techniques and nutritional principles.
• Develop students' practical skills, creativity and understanding of healthy eating.
• Encourage safe working practices and good food hygiene.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organised and inclusive classroom and kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement.
