Supply Desk Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for a Brighton-based position. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with focus on food preparation, nutrition and practical cooking techniques.

It is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting ASAP, aimed at building strong relationships within the school community. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, proven secondary teaching experience, and a creative, adaptable approach to lessons.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
• Knowledge of food preparation, nutrition and food hygiene.
• A creative, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach food preparation, cooking techniques and nutritional principles.
• Develop students' practical skills, creativity and understanding of healthy eating.
• Encourage safe working practices and good food hygiene.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organised and inclusive classroom and kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement.
