Job summary
BH Live is seeking a Casual Exercise Referral Advisor to support the Health and Wellbeing Programme across The Quays Swimming and Diving Complex, Bitterne Leisure Centre, Chamberlayne Leisure Centre and Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre. You will develop personalised exercise and lifestyle plans for referrals from medical professionals.
You will conduct Welcome Sessions, perform fitness testing, interpret results, and advise on safe activity.
Qualifications
- A Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification is essential.
- A Level 4 Exercise Referral qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience in the field is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of the Health and Fitness Programme at nominated sites.
- Conduct Welcome Sessions for new referrals and provide follow-up support.
- Carry out fitness testing and assessments per Health and Wellbeing Manager procedures.
- Interpret test results and recommend safe physical activity for individuals.
- Identify when clearance from Health and Wellbeing Manager or GP is needed.
- Assist with administration and attend relevant meetings.
- Promote the programmes as directed by the Health and Wellbeing Manager.
- Adhere to the Centre’s Customer Care Policy to ensure a positive visitor experience.
