Job summary

BH Live operates leisure facilities across Southampton in partnership with Southampton City Council. The Casual Exercise Referral Advisor role offers a personalised exercise and lifestyle programme for customers referred by medical professionals, across The Quays, Bitterne, Chamberlayne and Southampton Outdoor venues.

A Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification is essential; Level 4 would be advantageous. The post is casual with hourly pay of £13.36 and includes onsite parking, training, BH Live

Qualifications

• Empathy demonstrated in customer interactions.
• Excellent customer service, with a focus on user experience.
• Good organisational skills for managing sessions and records.
• Desire to improve physical and emotional wellbeing of clients.
• Level 3 Exercise Referral Qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing the Health and Fitness Programme at the nominated sites.
• Undertake Welcome Sessions for new referral patients and provide follow-up support.
• Carry out fitness testing and assessments per Health and Wellbeing guidelines.
• Interpret tests and formulate safe activity recommendations.
• Determine when medical clearance is required before participation.
• Assist with programme administration and attend relevant meetings.
• Promote the programmes as directed by the Health and Wellbeing Manager.
• Adopt the Centre's Customer Care Policy and ensure a friendly visit for customers.
