Job summary

Biggleswade-based secondary school is seeking an English Teacher to join its expanding English department. The successful candidate will teach English across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 classes depending on experience, delivering engaging lessons in Language and Literature.

You will develop reading comprehension, analytical writing and communication skills, prepare examination groups for assessments, and use formative assessment to identify gaps and plan targeted intervention.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has strong English Language and Literature subject knowledge.
• Can deliver well-structured lessons and maintain high expectations.
• Provides clear feedback and adapts teaching to pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 classes depending on experience.
