Job summary

Teaching Personnel are partnering with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the BB18 area of Lancashire to recruit a dedicated Teacher of English for a full-time long-term role.

The successful applicant will join a supportive English department and teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students’ literacy and analytical skills. The position runs after October Half-Term 2026 to July 2027.

Qualifications

• This role requires QTS and experience delivering English to KS3/KS4.
• Strong classroom management and clear communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to plan engaging English lessons and differentiate for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report student progress to inform planning.
• Differentiates learning to meet diverse learner needs.
• Attend departmental meetings and school events; contribute to a positive learning environment.
