Job summary

St Hugh of Lincoln RC Primary School in Stretford is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher for Nursery on a 2-term contract (MPR/UPR depending on experience), starting January 2027. The role focuses on leading high-quality early years provision in Reception and Nursery, delivering a rich curriculum, observing progress, and supporting pupils with diverse needs while collaborating with colleagues and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status required.
• Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a rich Early Years curriculum in Nursery/Reception.
• Use robust observation to identify next steps and personalise learning.
• Create an enabling indoor/outdoor learning environment to stimulate curiosity.
• Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants and external agencies to support SEND.
• Promote school values, parent engagement, extracurricular activities and community links.
