Job summary

St Hugh of Lincoln RC Primary School in Stretford (Manchester) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant 2 to support KS1/KS2 with phonics interventions and pupils on the SEND register.

The successful candidate must hold a Childcare in Education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 2 and be committed to safeguarding and welfare of children. DBS and references will be checked.

Closing Date: Friday 16 October 2026; 32.5 hours per week; term-time only positions will apply as per school policy.

The Governors of this popular, friendly and outstanding school wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant 2 to work throughout Key Stage 1/2 delivering phonic interventions and working with children on the SEND register. Recent experience and knowledge of how phonics is delivered is desirable.
