Job summary

Shooting Stars Nurseries, a growing group of nurseries in the Midlands, seeks a Deputy Nursery Manager for its Tettenhall setting. You will work with the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operation, lead across rooms, and uphold outstanding care and education for children and families.

Ideal candidates bring Level 3 EY qualification and at least two years post-qualification EY experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
• Minimum two years' post-qualification Early Years experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience within a nursery setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the leadership and operational management of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and develop colleagues across all age groups.
• Drive high-quality EYFS practice and continuous improvement.
• Support safeguarding, compliance and health and safety standards.
• Coach and mentor team members to reach their full potential.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and external professionals.
• Support recruitment, inductions, training and staff development.
• Support occupancy growth and help showcase the nursery to prospective families.
