Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, temp-to-perm position starting September 2026 at a Gloucestershire area school. You will deliver engaging CS lessons to secondary year groups, underpinning digital literacy, coding, and problem-solving in a calm, supportive environment.

You will adapt approaches for mixed-ability learners, assess progress, and contribute to curriculum planning while prioritising safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience teaching Computer Science.
• Ability to teach programming, systems and digital concepts.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across secondary year groups.
• Plan and deliver lessons on digital literacy, coding, and problem-solving.
• Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs.
• Maintain positive classroom environment and behaviour.
• Support pupils during practical and theory learning.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and pupil welfare.
