Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Art & Design for a full-time, permanent role at a Buckinghamshire academy starting in January. You will deliver practical studio and theoretical Art lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, guiding students through sketchbooks, NEA projects and moderation.

Applicants should hold QTS or UK credentials, a honours degree in Fine Art/Visual Arts, and have a strong portfolio with GCSE/A-Level results.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK teaching credentials (PGCE/SCITT).
Honours degree in Fine Art, Visual Arts, Illustration, or related discipline.
Demonstrated track record of strong GCSE/A-Level Art outcomes.
Expertise across fine art techniques, printmaking, and digital media.
Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

Teach engaging studio and theoretical Art lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through sketchbooks, NEA, and moderation.
Maintain studio environments, kilns, presses and art supplies safely.
Organize student art exhibitions, gallery visits, and co-curricular workshops.
Assess, track, and report on student progress across portfolios and assessments.
Fulfill pastoral duties as Form Tutor and support wellbeing.
