Marchant Recruitment is seeking an Art Teacher for a secondary school in Ipswich starting in January. The role focuses on inspiring pupils to explore materials, develop techniques, and express ideas through art within KS3/KS4.

You will plan and deliver lessons, support GCSE coursework, and encourage creative exploration while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety in the studio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Art, Fine Art, Art and Design or a relevant discipline.
• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach Art across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong understanding of practical art techniques and visual analysis.
• Experience planning engaging lessons and assessing creative outcomes.
• Ability to differentiate learning and support pupils with varying levels of confidence.
• Good classroom management and organisational skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4 developing practical skills.
• Encourage pupils to explore media and techniques and express ideas through art.
• Assess practical work and monitor pupil progress.
• Support GCSE coursework and portfolio development where appropriate.
• Differentiate to support learners with varying confidence.
• Promote experimentation, critical thinking and appreciation of visual culture.
