Job summary

City College Peterborough is seeking a dynamic Learning Support Assistant to help adults with learning disabilities unlock their potential within an inclusive learning setting.

You will help deliver person-centred support, adapt activities to individual needs, and foster confidence and independence across a 30‑week academic year, with daytime sessions Tuesday to Friday across a range of programmes.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with tutors to identify and meet individual learner support needs.
• Support learners to engage confidently in person-centred learning activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Assist learners in understanding and following health and safety requirements.
• Promote positive learner experiences both within and beyond the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and College events as required.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
• Maintain professional standards and participate in continuous professional development.
