JK Engineering Hertfordshire Ltd is seeking a dedicated Inspector for either night or day shifts at our Kings Langley facility. The role focuses on precision inspection, including CMM usage, reports verification, and manual/visual inspection to ensure product conformity across aerospace, space, defence and robotics sectors.

Qualifications

• CMM inspection experience with ability to verify reports and interpret results.
• Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working in AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical, organised approach to inspection tasks.
• Analytical mindset with problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a precision environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and verify CMM reports and manual inspections where applicable
• Perform manual/visual inspection as required
• Liaise with management and machine shop operatives regarding product conformity
• Assist in problem solving activities to maintain quality
• Operate CMM and interpret results to ensure compliance
• Complete FAI reports and maintain traceability documentation
• Set priorities with management and compile certificates of conformity
• Maintain documentation control and ensure traceability throughout processes

Night Shift is Monday to Thursday working 5pm to 5am

As a Precision CNC Manufacturing Company we cover a broad range of sectors including Aerospace, Space, Defence and Robotics. We operate a high-quality engineering facility that offers a clinical and precise working environment, utilising state of the art machine tools and inspection equipment.

We are seeking a hardworking and precise Inspector where you will add to our well-established quality team. At JK you will get the chance to maintain the conformity of highly complex components that test your abilities on the cutting edge of machining.

The Role & Responsibilities include:

• Understand and verify CMM reports by manual means where applicable
• Manual/visual inspection
• Liaise with management/ machine shop operatives regarding product conformity
• Aid in problem solving activities
• Operate CMM and interpret results
• Complete FAI reports
• Set priorities with management
• Compiling certificate of conformity
• Documentation control
• Ensure traceability requirements have been adhered to and maintained throughout

Ideal candidates will have:

• CMM experience on PCDMIS
• Use of Visual FAIR (Q-Pulse)
• Experience of working within AS9100 or ISO9001 companies
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Be well organised with a methodical mindset and excellent attention to detail
• Be hardworking and self motivated with the ability to analyse situations objectively and develop effective solutions ot problems
