Adore Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with an aerospace precision engineering business in Romford seeking a seasoned Quality Control Inspector for a permanent night shift position. You will inspect precision components and assemblies, ensuring conformance to drawings and customer requirements.

The role requires experience with engineering drawings, CMMs and FAIR documentation, with an emphasis on accuracy, traceability and quality assurance across the production process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Quality Control Inspector
Aerospace Manufacturing - Precision Inspection
Romford
Permanent Position
Night Shift
Salary / Rate: DOE + overtime + benefitd

We're partnered with an established precision engineering business supplying complex components and assemblies into the aerospace and defence sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they're looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their night shift team.

This is a hands-on inspection role for someone who understands precision engineering, engineering drawings and quality requirements, with the ability to identify issues and ensure components are right first time.

The Role

You'll be responsible for inspecting precision components, assemblies and sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet drawing specifications, customer requirements and internal quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out firstoff, in-process and final inspection
• Inspecting precision components against engineering drawings and specifications
• Using inspection gauges, precision measuring equipment and CMMs
• Completing and compiling First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
• Maintaining accurate and auditable inspection records
• Identifying, recording and reporting nonconformances
• Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Escalating quality concerns to Production and Quality Management
• Ensuring compliance with quality, inspection and HSE procedures

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in precision inspection / quality control
• Experience using CMMs and precision measuring equipment
• Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with FAIR documentation
• Good understanding of imperial and metric geometrical definitions
• Strong knowledge of quality and inspection processes
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• ERP / MRP experience desirable
• Knowledge of MSA, NDT, SPC and ISO / ASME would be advantageous
• Methodical, accurate and detailfocused approach
