Job Description:

To work within a team to ensure an efficient and professional delivery of corporate and personal insolvency services to clients.

Key duties and responsibilities
  1. Manage a mixed case load of formal insolvency appointments and assist team members.
  2. Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and sometimes Bankruptcies.
  3. Address creditors’ claims, including retention of title, secured, preferential, and unsecured claims.
  4. Report to secured creditors.
  5. Assist in ongoing trading on-site where needed.
  6. Prepare documentation for statutory meetings.
  7. Assist employees with claims and liaise with redundancy payments services.
  8. Handle day-to-day correspondence, including non-standard communications.
  9. Maintain accurate books and records, ensuring their safekeeping and proper handling.
  10. Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions.
  11. Complete banking and cheque requests to handle estate monies correctly.
  12. Prepare VAT and Corporation tax returns.
  13. Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS.
  14. Update and maintain case diaries and checklists.
  15. Coordinate with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants.
  16. Prepare supporting documents for sale contracts.
  17. Attend meetings and participate in marketing events.
  18. Delegate tasks and support junior staff.
Reporting, relationships & management
  1. Support and train staff, delegate tasks.
  2. Assist other case executives.
  3. Report case progress to IP.
Qualifications & experience
  1. AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  2. Experience with corporate insolvency appointments in an IP firm is required.
  3. Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous.
  4. Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and IPS.
  5. High professional standards and conduct.
  6. Self-motivated, organized, and flexible.
  7. Effective communication skills and professionalism.
  8. Ability to manage workload and deadlines responsibly.
  9. Enthusiastic and committed to task completion.
  10. Positive representation of the firm at networking events.
