Job description

Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Location: Office-based (Luton area)
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager

Overview

This role is focused on supporting and growing the service contract business through proactive inside sales activity. The successful candidate will work with both new and existing customers to renew agreements, upsell additional services, and handle the administration of contracts from quotation through to invoicing and service delivery coordination.

Main Responsibilities
  • Achieve service contract sales targets by managing renewals and generating new opportunities

  • Prepare accurate quotes and follow up with customers to secure business

  • Upsell service packages by identifying additional equipment or needs

  • Handle contract administration, including invoicing and creating service orders for delivery teams

  • Resolve any billing or payment issues by liaising with customers

  • Ensure all customer interactions are documented in the CRM system according to company procedures

  • Support in-house service processes where needed, such as returns or follow-ups

  • Collaborate with internal departments as required to support customer needs

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or leadership

Person Profile

Qualifications

  • Business or administrative training or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • Previous experience in inside sales or customer service, preferably in a service or technical environment

Skills and Competencies

  • Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing

  • Customer-focused and able to handle multiple tasks with accuracy

  • Proficient in using CRM and ERP systems (experience with platforms like SAP is a plus)

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
