Reporting into the Sales Director, the purpose of the Inside Sales Manager is to:
- Manage and lead a team of desk-based/phone-based sales representatives, including hiring, coaching, and dealing with performance issues.
- Achieve team sales targets and strategic objectives through planning, goal setting, and performance analysis.
- Develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring effective sales tactics are used.
- Contribute to sales targets via lead generation and client relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Results-driven delivery: Lead a sales team to meet or exceed targets, creating plans to achieve and surpass these goals.
- Analytical and process-driven: Analyze performance data to identify challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Pipeline management: Ensure the sales pipeline is sufficient, accurate, and moving at the right pace.
- Coaching adaptability: Adapt coaching styles to individual team members to maximize performance.
- Following company processes: Ensure team compliance with documented sales processes and proper use of CRM systems.
- Proactive lead generation: Manage lead quality and volume, supporting marketing efforts and outbound activities.
- Account planning: Maintain strategic account plans to drive growth initiatives.
- Performance management: Monitor KPIs and conduct performance reviews and corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare sales reports and performance summaries for management.
- Strategic alignment: Align team goals with company growth strategies, seeking innovative and resource-efficient methods.
Requirements
- Minimum of years’ experience in B2B sales with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in English for business communication.
- Previous line management experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of the business assurance sector, especially in certification and third-party assurance (desirable).
- Formal qualification in sales, business studies, or related fields (preferred).
