University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Technician for a rotational role across inpatient therapy teams at the Coventry site. The position involves working with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and therapy support workers to support recovery and timely discharges.

Rotations are planned for one year in each clinical area, including Stroke, Care of the Elderly, Neurosciences and Surgery/Severe Intestinal Failure teams.

Formación

• Training to undertake delegated tasks within a therapy team
• Ability to independently develop and provide exercise programmes under guidance
• Awareness of common physical, mental and behavioural health conditions and escalation of concerns

Responsabilidades

• To treat patients following delegated protocols, including walking aid assessments, progression of treatments and group activities.
• To independently develop and provide exercise programmes for individual patients with therapist guidance
• To recognise deterioration in patients and escalate concerns promptly to a registered practitioner
• Equipment cleaning, stock management and maintenance
