Job summary

Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust invites applications for a Therapy Support Worker to assist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering community and in-hospital rehabilitation for patients with varying disabilities.

You will support treatment plans, help with equipment and home exercises, carry out routine clinical tasks, and document progress while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Good level of basic education, GCSE or equivalent.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce clear verbal reports and written documentation of therapy interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers, team members and other agencies.
• Support patients with therapy tasks and exercises under the direction of a therapist.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to service development where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safety and infection prevention guidelines.
