Job summary

St Helier site of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Inpatient Midwife to join our maternity team. You will provide expert care for women and families across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods and supervise junior staff in a busy inpatient setting.

The role offers extensive in-house training and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive, woman-centred service.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with NMC; current practicing status.
• Band 6 experience or demonstrable senior practice.
• Ability to provide woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to women and families in inpatient setting antenatally, intrapartum and postnatally.
• Supervise midwives, preceptors, and students as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records in line with NMC guidelines.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and act as a professional role model.
