Job summary

Alexander Dennis Limited in Scarborough is seeking a Test & Development Technician to join our workshop team. In this hands‑on role you’ll support the development and validation of our vehicles, carrying out electrical and mechanical tasks to prepare test rigs and vehicles for verification activities.

You will work closely with engineers, build and instrument vehicles, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to testing both on‑site and at external facilities.

Qualifications

• Practical automotive engineering background with electrical and mechanical systems experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform fault finding.
• Comfortable working independently or in a team in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on electrical and mechanical tasks to prepare vehicles and test rigs for verification.
• Build, modify, and instrument vehicles to support testing both on-site and at external facilities.
