Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

What you |

  • Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role modeling a coaching culture within the management team.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards, understand financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making.

What we look for |

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance through positive actions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to have genuine conversations and ensure your team feels supported.
  • Experience maintaining high standards in food, health, safety, and financial management including gross profit and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • A leader who inspires and engages their team to thrive in their roles and careers.
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and belongs.
  • A proactive problem solver, able to think on your feet.
