Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The Role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values, inspire and motivate your team to provide exceptional service, and strive to exceed expectations. A passion for people, food, and hospitality, along with a drive to make positive change, are essential.
We offer a competitive salary, a £3,000 bonus opportunity per year, and an average of £140 tips per week.*
Additional benefits include access to Wagestream, a dedicated 6-week training program, free Wagamama food allowance on shifts, discounts at Wagamama and other brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What We Look For:
The Wagamama Way:
Our philosophy, Kaizen, meaning ‘good change’, drives us to find better ways in all we do—our food, our thinking, and our work. We are committed to championing change in our communities and on the planet.
We celebrate difference, appreciate personality over perfection, and welcome everyone and their unique stories. We promise to support and trust our team, creating safe spaces for real conversations.
All we ask is for you to bring your authentic self to Wagamama.
Wagamama is proudly part of Disability Confident.
