Innovation Manager - Legal Sector - 12 Month FTC - London - >90k

Are you fascinated by how technology is changing the legal world? Do you love to roll up your sleeves, explore new ideas, and make things happen? My client, a leading international law firm, is looking for a proactive Innovation Manager to join their forward-thinking team for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This isn't about sitting back and watching trends; it's about being at the heart of exciting projects that genuinely impact how legal advice is delivered. You'd be instrumental in promoting smart tech, developing their firm-wide innovation strategy, and even helping their clients embrace cutting-edge solutions.

What They're Looking For You To Do:

Think of yourself as a key player in bringing innovative ideas to life. You'd be:

  • Championing Legal Tech: Keeping their firm's tech toolkit fresh, researching new tools, building relationships with vendors, and making sure their lawyers are well-equipped and trained.
  • Leading the AI Charge: Playing a pivotal role in assessing, planning, and rolling out generative AI tools across the firm. This means everything from suitability assessments to training and defining success!
  • Spotting What's Next: Staying on top of emerging technologies and trends in legal innovation, attending demos, and bringing fresh insights back to the team.
  • Client-Focused Innovation: Developing and delivering exciting programs for their clients, like their popular Client Innovation Network.
  • Driving Change: Collaborating with various teams across the firm – from legal practice groups to other business services – to foster a culture of continuous improvement and smart collaboration.

Who They're Looking For:

They're ideally seeking someone who has spent 3+ years working in a professional services environment, ideally a law firm, with a genuine passion for legal innovation and technology.

You should be:

  • A digital and tech enthusiast, comfortable with tools like Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Someone with strong interpersonal skills – you enjoy building relationships, presenting ideas clearly, and influencing others.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks and keep a cool head when things get busy.
  • A true team player who's collaborative, supportive, and not afraid to challenge the status quo or suggest new approaches.
  • Committed to high standards of quality and professionalism in everything you do.
