Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage offers an internship in the UK Innovation Management team. You will gain hands-on experience in innovation strategy, project coaching, and ecosystem development within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will contribute to driving maturity of internal projects, supporting MVPs and live demonstrations, and engaging with startups and industry partners to foster innovation and external funding opportunities.

Qualifications

Studying for a relevant Product Design, Engineering or Business degree.
Knowledge of Defence and Space industries.
A strong interest in innovation, creativity, curiosity, openness, team spirit.
The ability to listen, understand and communicate information.
The desire to work in a technical team environment.
A strong interest in developing yourself.
A negotiation level in English, other European languages will be an asset (not essential).

Responsibilities

Support innovation strategy and project coaching within the UK Innovation Management team.
Contribute to MVP development, demonstrations, and business case definitions.
Help build and engage the Launchpad ecosystem and external startup partnerships.
Assist in organising workshops, hackathons, and networking events.
Support internal and external communications for innovation topics.
