Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, seeks a Lead Engineer for Network Innovation in Glasgow. You will lead the development and delivery of innovation across Transmission, engaging stakeholders to shape the Innovation Strategy, manage projects, and drive adoption of new solutions for a smarter, more resilient network.

You will build strong relationships with internal and external partners, prepare regulatory outputs, and promote safety across all activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading projects or programmes in complex technical environments.
• Knowledge of electricity transmission or distribution networks and regulation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of innovation across SP Energy Networks Transmission.
• Lead stakeholder engagement to identify innovation opportunities and business challenges.
• Support the Transmission Innovation Strategy and RIIO-T3 roadmap.
• Facilitate workshops and prioritise future innovation needs with stakeholders.
• Manage innovation projects and work packages meeting technical, commercial and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regulatory reports, publications and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Drive adoption of innovation outputs into BAU practices and build stakeholder relationships.
• Promote safety culture and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
