Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Customer Support team in Midsomer Norton. You will support customers, perform laboratory testing, and prepare ink samples while working with Technologists and the Global Customer Support Manager to resolve technical issues.

You'll gain exposure to different applications and technologies within the printing and ink industry and contribute to improvement projects, SOPs and documentation in a global organization.

Qualifications

• A-Level or degree-level education in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and following defined procedures/SOPs is required.
• Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Able to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn about different technologies and processes.
• Experience or knowledge of ink chemistry or related technologies would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory testing and assist with investigations of customer complaints.
• Prepare and dispatch ink samples to customers.
• Support manufacturing and product-related issue investigations.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and in accordance with SOPs.
• Maintain lab consumables and produce clear reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with Technologists, Customer Support and external stakeholders.
