Job summary

Sun Chemical, based in Midsomer Norton, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Customer Support team. You will support customers by performing laboratory testing and preparing ink samples for distribution to clients, contributing to investigations and resolving technical issues.

Working closely with Technologists and the Global Customer Support Manager, you will gain exposure to ink chemistry across diverse applications and processes within a global organisation that values development

Qualifications

• A-Level or degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and SOPs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload.
• Willingness to learn about ink chemistry and printing applications.

Responsibilities

• Support customer-related activities through laboratory testing and process improvements.
• Carry out experiments independently and with team members.
• Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints.
• Prepare and dispatch ink samples to customers.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely according to SOPs.
• Maintain stock of laboratory consumables.
• Create clear documentation and complaint reports.
• Develop understanding of print process performance and product applications.
• Collaborate with Technologists, Customer Support, suppliers and stakeholders.
