Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is recruiting a Technician - Injection Moulding for a busy manufacturing site in Waterlooville. You will support efficient production, set up tooling, monitor OEE and contribute to safety, quality and delivery targets.

The role suits an experienced professional with hands-on knowledge of injection moulding processes. Working 40 hours per week on a rotating double day shift, you will join a collaborative team, maintain accurate records and drive continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in injection moulding/engineering.
• PTIC Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and tooling.
• Experience with process monitoring, optimisation and development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload injection mould tools safely.
• Set up production tooling and ancillary equipment.
• Plan production jobs to optimise tool changes and minimise downtime.
• Improve OEE through efficient tool changes and standard working practices.
• Ensure effective handovers to production teams and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production and process control records.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) trials and process development.
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Raise requests for equipment and tooling when needed.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and cleanliness.
