Job summary

V3 Recruitment LTD is seeking a Machine Setter Technician for a site in Waterlooville. You will load/unload injection mould tools, set production tooling, and plan changeovers to optimise production efficiency.

We require NVQ Level 3 in injection moulding or equivalent, with hands-on experience in moulding equipment and related systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain process control and support new product introductions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in injection moulding or related engineering/manufacturing subject.
• Completed Apprenticeship in related subject (Desirable).
• Aim (Advanced injection moulding) (Desirable).
• Process Technician training (Desirable).
• Knowledge of injection moulding processes, safety features, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload injection mould tools following safe systems of work.
• Setting of production tooling and ancillary equipment in line with master settings.
• Plan and prepare upcoming production jobs to optimise changeover.
• Handover from set up to production with Quality Technician, Supervisors and Operator.
• Follow reject escalation process and report equipment issues to Senior Technician.
• Use structured problem-solving to resolve issues with containment and permanent corrective actions.
• Work in cross-functional teams to establish root cause and corrective actions for process issues.
• Knowledge capture and sharing for best practice and standard work improvements.
• Maintain records to confirm process is in control.
• Assist development with NPI (trials, SMS etc).
