Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Limited is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician for a well-established Manchester plastics manufacturer. You will take ownership of tool changes, setting and lead a small shift team, with a Monday to Friday swing shift and no weekend work.

You will set and optimise the injection moulding process to hit targets, troubleshoot faults quickly, carry out basic maintenance and manage dryers and temperature control for production runs, while developing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting injection moulding machines.
• Good communication and maths skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tool changes, setting and lead a shift of five machine operators.
• Set and optimise the injection moulding process to hit targets on new and existing products.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues to keep machines running quickly.
• Carry out basic machine and tool maintenance including insert changes and drying/temperature control.
• Lead a small team across the shift.
