Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Limited is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician for a well-established Manchester plastics manufacturer. You will take ownership of tool changes, setting and lead a small shift team, with a Monday to Friday swing shift and no weekend work.

You will set and optimise the injection moulding process to hit targets, troubleshoot faults quickly, carry out basic maintenance and manage dryers and temperature control for production runs, while developing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting injection moulding machines.
• Good communication and maths skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and optimise the injection moulding process to hit targets on new and existing products.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues to keep machines running quickly.

Your weekends are yours: This is a Monday to Friday swing shift, alternating 6 am-2:30 pm and 2 pm-10:30 pm. No weekend working, so your Saturdays and Sundays are always your own for family or whatever you enjoy.

Real variety across the machines: You'll set and troubleshoot across a spread of machines from 35t to 250t, working with everything from PC and ABS to polypropylene, acrylic and PVC. Plenty to keep you developing.

Your salary, benefits & hours of work:

• Up to £38,000, including shift allowance
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 in total)
