The Best Connection is recruiting for an Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor to join their growing manufacturing operation in the United Kingdom. You will take responsibility for the moulding operation during night shifts, leading a small team of setters and operators to keep production running safely and to quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with injection moulding and de-moulding robots, with a shift pattern including permanent night shifts and a 3-week rotating cycle.

Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor to join our client's expanding manufacturing operation.

Due to increasing demand and continued expansion, our client is preparing to introduce a night shift and is looking for an experienced Injection Moulding professional to take responsibility for the moulding operation outside normal office hours.

Pay rate including shift allowance is £21.15 per hour working 41.5 hours per week.

The Role

As an Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor, you will manage a small team of setters and operators, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day moulding operation when other managers and support staff are not on site, making your experience and ability to troubleshoot issues independently essential.

Following completion of the induction period, the position may be offered as either:

• Permanent night shifts, Monday to Friday
• 3-week rotating shift pattern covering mornings, afternoons and nights

Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced injection moulding setter looking to take the next step into a supervisory role, or an established shift supervisor with strong technical injection moulding experience.

You will need:

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter
• Experience working with Engel injection moulding machines
• Experience with complex mould tools
• Knowledge of different injection moulding materials
• Experience working with de-moulding robots
• Strong quality control and inspection skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to work independently and make decisions without direct management on site
• Previous experience supervising or leading a small team would be advantageous
