Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Trafford Park, Manchester, is seeking an Injection Moulding Setter to join its production team on a 3-shift rotation. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £40,000 per annum and a profit share.

You will set and optimise moulding machines, manage changes, and drive improvements across production. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years in plastics injection moulding, be mechanically minded, and comfortable with shift documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics injection moulding (min 2 years preferred).
• Skilled in setting a variety of moulding machines, robots, sprue pickers and granulators.
• Confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Mechanically minded with ability to fault find and suggest improvements.
• IT literate and able to complete shift documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set, monitor and optimise injection moulding machines for efficient production cycles.
• Complete tool changes and material setups safely.
• Conduct basic mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Operate forklifts to transport raw materials and tools (training available).
• Maintain tooling and masterbatch storage areas in a safe, organised condition.
• Support production with clear shift handovers and accurate record keeping.
• Work with the Factory Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
• Promote health, safety and housekeeping across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, monitor, and optimise injection moulding machines for efficient production cycles

• IMT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) - desirable


• Strong attention to detail with a \"slow down to speed up\" mindset


• IT literate and comfortable completing shift documentation

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday

3 rotating shifts- 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
