DESCRIPTION

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access for our customers. We work on challenging problems with many variables impacting the supply chain, and we seek talented individuals to help us.

This role involves handling Amazon's relationships with IP service providers in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, focusing on scaling goals and supporting customer demand. Responsibilities include planning and sourcing IP interconnect and peering capacity, responding to peering requests, negotiating connections, and working with network teams to upgrade connections.

Ideal candidates will be excited about cloud computing, customer-focused, and possess strong technical and business judgment with excellent communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Serve as a subject matter expert on regional 'eyeball' IP networks.
  2. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to deliver new IP interconnect capacity.
  3. Develop interconnect capacity plans for scalable content delivery.
  4. Establish peering with partner networks globally and ensure timely upgrades.
  5. Negotiate improved interconnection relationships.
  6. Collaborate with business development, legal, and deployment teams.
  7. Travel frequently for site visits and meetings.

Basic Qualifications
