Job summary

Inara is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Team Leader for a hybrid role in the United Kingdom. You will stay technically active across Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualization, storage, networking, and collaboration platforms while leading, mentoring, and coordinating a mixed team of engineers.

You will mentor engineers, own vendor relationships and cost optimisation, and champion automation and a DevOps mindset across the team, ensuring lifecycle management of OS and infrastructure apps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on infrastructure engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading, mentoring, or coordinating technical engineers.
• Strong exposure to AD, Entra ID, M365, AWS, Citrix, SAN, VMware, Linux and Windows Server.
• Familiar with automation/IaC tooling: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Git, SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a hands-on engineering lead - troubleshooting, implementation, and project delivery
• Working directly alongside engineers, removing blockers and reviewing technical approaches
• Triaging and prioritising incoming work, balancing team workload against business priorities
• Mentoring and developing team members through coaching and technical oversight
• Owning contract/licence renewals, vendor relationships, and cost optimisation
• Championing automation, standardisation, and a DevOps mindset across the team
• Managing lifecycle for OS, platforms, and infrastructure-managed applications
