Job summary

Accelero is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team. The role focuses on hands-on management of cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructures, emphasising security, resilience and future-ready architecture.

You will own critical systems, resolve complex challenges and shape the technology landscape with the team. You will act as escalation point for complex issues, drive automation and lead projects across Azure, EntraID, Intune and VMware.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure, Intune and EntraID.
• Experience with VMware and Windows Server environments.

The Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll act as the technical escalation point for complex issues while supporting a modern Microsoft technology estate.

You'll work closely with colleagues across IT to improve service reliability, enhance security, implement new technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role offers a strong mix of operational responsibility and project work, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact rather than simply keeping the lights on.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and systems issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
• Administer and optimise Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage EntraID, Intune and hybrid identity environments.
• Support Windows Server and VMware platforms.

• Drive automation, standardisation and service improvement initiatives.
• Support infrastructure, security and digital transformation projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and configuration records.
• Mentor and support Service Desk and technical support teams.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or 3rd Line Support role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in Entra ID and Intune.
• VMware administration experience.
• Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VPNs and modern network technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
