Job summary

OCU Group in Stafford seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support National Grid projects with NEC contracts. You will drive cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting from award to final account, ensuring value for money and risk management.

You will collaborate with project delivery teams, clients, and supply chain partners to optimise commercial performance and financial outcomes, within a permanent full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utilities, infrastructure, or construction.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of allocated infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Administer NEC contracts, including Compensation Events, Early Warning Notices, and payment applications.
• Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts, CVRs, and commercial performance updates.
• Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, payments, and final accounts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
• Support project teams with contractual advice and commercial guidance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
