Job summary

WSP's Infrastructure Planning team in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects.

You will lead consenting inputs (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs), provide technical leadership to clients, coordinate submission of applications, act as Project Director, negotiate with statutory bodies, and contribute to new work opportunities. RTPI membership and a degree in town planning are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning (or equivalent).
• Member of RTPI.
• Experience leading consenting inputs on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading consenting inputs on major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
• Providing strong technical leadership and advice to clients and managing their consenting requirements.
• Co-ordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008 or other regimes.
• Acting as Project Director for Infrastructure Planning projects.
• Leading complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
• Acting as Planning Expert Witness at examinations or hearings.
• Supporting and pursuing new work opportunities in line with growth strategy.
