Job summary

WSP UK is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning Team to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will lead preparation of Town & Country Planning Act applications and coordinate across disciplines to secure approvals.

You will bring RTPI membership or eligibility, a degree in town planning, and a proven track record of delivering complex consents across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning or equivalent qualification with RTPI membership (or eligibility).
• Experience leading planning applications and coordinating consenting inputs.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects.
• Support and lead on consenting inputs for major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Provide technical advice to clients and manage consenting requirements.
• Collaborate with statutory bodies and stakeholders to deliver approvals.
• Provide oversight across teams and build positive relationships.
