HM Revenue & Customs is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join the Tooling & Automation team within the Chief Digital & Information Office. You will help maintain live services, monitor tooling platforms and support secure, well-documented operations across AWX, Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus and Vault.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting live IT services, infrastructure or another operational technology environment.
• Practical exposure to cloud infrastructure and core networking concepts.
• Exposure to CI/CD platforms, automation tools, source-control platforms or infrastructure tooling.
• Experience following operational processes for incidents, service requests or changes.
• Ability to produce clear operational documentation.

Responsabilités

• Monitor tooling services and perform routine operational checks.
• Investigate incidents and service requests, escalating when needed.
• Administer user access and onboarding across tooling platforms.
• Support services including AWX, Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, Vault and bastion services.
• Contribute to migration and stabilisation of tooling services.
